Wichita, KS (April 10, 2023) – Kansas Rush Wichita (KRW) and the board of directors are pleased to announce that the club has accepted an invitation to join the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) U21 for 2023. The club has a historical reputation of producing many of the area’s strongest female soccer players, with over 100 former KRW girls graduating onto college soccer in the past 10 years.
The club has named Julian Ramirez as an assistant coach on Kyle Eno's initial WPSL U21 staff. Julian Ramirez came to KRW in 2014 as a staff coach and has quickly established himself as one of the top coaches/recruiters in the area. "Being a member of the WPSL staff is a great opportunity for the female player to further her success on a higher platform," explains Coach Ramirez. "On a personal level, working under Kyle Eno provides me the opportunity to grow my own coaching education and learn from one of the most educated coaches in the state."
Head Coach, Kyle Eno on Julian Ramirez joining his staff, "I'm excited to have Julian Ramirez on staff this summer! Julian is one of the top coaches out of Wichita and has an extensive background in the game, not only as a successful coach but also as a player! I'm looking forward to working with and equally learning from Julian this summer."
"Coach Ramirez is one of the club's longest tenured coaches and has played an pivotal role in growing our membership over his eight years. It is obvious that players want to play under Coach Ramirez and that is most evidenced by his 2007 Boys Academy team that recently won the KSYSA State Cup. Coach Ramirez has been a loyal advocate of Rush programming, sending several players to Rush Select including former midfielder, Andres Tamayo, currently in the Rush Altitude Residency in Port St. Lucie, FL," stated KRW Technical Director, Adam Hunter. "What makes Julian one of the top soccer coaches in this area is his unmatched passion for the beautiful game and his ability to share that passion with his players in the healthiest of ways."
