ABOUT OUR JR ACADEMY PROGRAM
Kansas Rush Wichita (KRW) offers a fun-filled experience while teaching our young players the basic foundations of soccer. Our total focus is on teaching players mastery of the ball through technical skill such as dribbling, passing, receiving, and shooting in a safe and fun learning environment. In addition, creativity will be encouraged as the players will learn certain skill moves (manipulation of the ball) to enhance their soccer experience. The KRW coaching staff will conduct training sessions under the guidance of our United States Soccer Federation and United Soccer Coaches Nationally licensed Academy Head Coach, Ernesto Alcantara.
LOCATION
Our players will enjoy top of the line facilities while training at the Stryker Sports Complex (Video of Facility).
Fall & Spring: Stryker Sports Complex Outdoor Fields (2999 N Greenwich Rd, Wichita, KS 67226)
Winter: Stryker Sports Complex Indoor Field (2999 N Greenwich Rd, Wichita, KS 67226)
In addition to training sessions, players will be placed on age and gender specific teams that will compete in the Wichita Regional Soccer Association fall and spring leagues at Stryker Sports Complex. The academy is broken into three sessions (Fall, Winter, Spring). The below costs are per year (Fall and Spring) and includes league fees, field usage fees, training fees, game uniform and practice top. A ten week winter training program is an additional cost.
COST
There is the option to enroll for one season (Fall or Spring), two seasons (fall and spring) or the whole year (fall, spring and winter).
U6/5 (4 & 5 years) Player: $200.00 - includes two 45 minute training sessions per week and two seasons at WRSA or YMCA (8 games in fall & spring each).
U7 (6 years) Player: $350.00 - includes two 60 minute training sessions per week and two seasons at WRSA or (8 games in fall & spring each).
U8 (7 years) Player: $350.00 - includes two 60 minute training sessions per week and two seasons at WRSA or YMCA (8 games in fall & spring each).
Winter: $75 - Open to any 4 - 8 year old player from ANY club. The program does not include league games or shirt. This includes ten 60 minute training sessions on the following ten Thursdays of 2023 - 2024 from 5:30-6:30pm: 11/30 CANCELED, 12/7, 12/14, 12/21 NO TRAINING, 12/28 NO TRAINING, 1/4, 1/11 CANCELED, 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/20 DATE ADDED (Tuesday), 2/22 CANCELED & 2/29 DATE ADDED. TRAINING DAYS & TIMES
Each coach chooses two days between Monday through Thursday with a starting time no earlier than 5:30pm and no later than 6:30pm.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
ALL Academy players must adhere to the following requirements throughout the club year:
- MUST wear their Kansas Rush Wichita top to EVERY practice session. Top provided for new players in fall and spring only. Non-Rush players do not need to wear a Rush shirt to the winter program.
- MUST bring water.
- MUST bring correct size ball (size 3) to EVERY practice session.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE 2023-2024 FALL SEASSON IN 3 STEPS
STEP 1 - Make sure you have an account.
IF YOU ARE A NEW USER - On the top right corner (desktop) and top center (mobile device) of the website, click where it says "REGISTER" and create an account.
STEP 2 - On Friday, June 9th, register.
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A USER ACCOUNT - On the top right corner (desktop) and top center (mobile device) of the website, click where it says "LOGIN". Select the program that you want from the "Programs Available". Complete the registration by going to your shopping cart and paying. You will receive a confirmation email with your order within a few minutes. You can register after this date but many teams will be full right away.
STEP 3 - ALL 2019, 2018, 2017 & 2016 birth year players should attend the RUSH Team Forming Event on Saturday, June 10th from 9:00am - 9:45am at the indoor field at the Stryker Sports Complex.
This is when we will form our teams with current members and new members for the upcoming year. Bring a size 3 soccer ball, soccer attire and water.
