Registration Deadline is May 12.

What is WPSL Youth Summer Training?
WPSL Youth Summer Training has been designed to give female players a consistent training environment over a six week period during the summer months.  The program will consist of 10 training sessions under the guidance of KRW Technical Director, Adam Hunter and Junior Academy Director, Ernesto Alcantara.  The program will focus on technical repetition covering many attacking principles/aspects of the game.  The objectives of the program are based on player enjoyment while providing multiple opportunities for player creativity and goal scoring opportunities.

The program will be modeled after traditional training sessions, with approximately 15-20 players in each group (this is not small group/individual training).  Goalkeepers will break off for specialized goalkeeper training prior to rejoining the group for the remainder of the training session.  There will be scrimmaging at the end of every session.

In addition, there will be weekly appearances from the WPSL U21 coaching staff.  Our goal is to have our summer programming be a club immersive experience.  Players applying for the WPSL U21 and not selected will be automatically enrolled in the youth summer training program unless applicant declines in this form.

What is WPSL U21?

The Kansas Rush Wichita WPSL U21 player pool will consist of 40-45 female players ranging in ages 14-20 years old.  The team is allowed three overage players each match.  It is the club's goal to have the player pool be approximately 50% college aged and 50% high school aged players.  The team will operate for seven weeks, training three nights (Tue, Wed, Thu) per week from May 23 - July 8.  Trainings are currently scheduled for 7:30-9:00PM.  Initial plans will include intra-squad scrimmages every Wednesday night, open to the public.  The first week will be an open training/tryout for any players not already invited into the team through this application process.

The team is slated to play eight games, four home (Stryker Sports Complex) and four away, with the first match scheduled on June 3 and the season finale on July 8.  Game day rosters are limited to 20 players, per league rules, and will be selected each week by the KRW WPSL coaching staff.  It is safe to say that game day rosters will be chosen based on player availability and ability.  Because this is a WOMEN'S team...it is likely that the majority of the game day roster will be comprised of college aged players, with a select few high school aged players included.
